A-Obie has been writing, recording, and performing music since the 1990’s. From 2003-2005 A-Obie performed as a multi-instrumentalist (bass guitar, sitar, organ/strings, backing vocals) all along the Gulf South in a duo called “The Astronauts” along side Moon as they opened for various bands in South Louisiana. After Hurricane Katrina displaced the duo, A-Obie went on a hiatus, focusing on his family and personal life.

2021 marked the first time A-Obie has put out any material, with the release of kernel.restart() on December 10, 2021.

The debut, is 9-tracks of experimental, post-rock project composed, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by A-Obie. kernel.restart() marked the first album in a series that will follow the ever increasing entanglement of man and machine.

Human Interface Device is the next phase, and a project consisting of 4 separate but connected LPs via shards. Shards 3 and 4 will be released in 2023.
